What is SSC?

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a government organization that recruits staff for various roles in ministries, departments, and subordinate offices of the Government of India. It conducts exams at different levels for diverse positions. Every year, lakhs of candidates appear for SSC exams to secure government jobs.

  • SSC CGL – Combined Graduate Level

  • SSC GD – Constable, General Duty

  • SSC CHSL – Combined Higher Secondary Level

  • SSC JE – Junior Engineer

  • SSC CPO – Central Police Organisation

  • SSC MTS – Multitasking Staff

How to Apply for SSC Exams

Step 1: Visit the Official SSC Website
Go to ssc.nic.in. Register as a new user if you haven’t already. If you’re already registered, log in using your SSC credentials.

Step 2: Select the Exam
Choose the SSC exam you want to apply for. You can also continue a previously started application.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents
Scan and upload your passport-size photograph and signature. Academic certificates, proof of residence, and other documents may also be required depending on the exam.

Step 4: Review the Form
Check all the details you’ve entered to ensure accuracy. Review your uploaded documents.

Step 5: Submit the Application
After verifying all information, submit the application form.

Step 6: Pay the Exam Fee

  • Rs. 100 for male candidates from General and OBC categories.

  • No fee for female candidates, SC/ST, PwD, and ex-servicemen.
    You can pay the fee online via the SBI portal or offline at any SBI branch.

Step 7: Confirmation and Admit Card
After successful payment, you’ll receive a confirmation. If eligible, you’ll be issued an admit card before the exam date.
